Jeff “Swiss” is a dynamic and visionary business leader with a passion for integrated pest management and sustainable solutions. With a diverse background spanning arboriculture, event coordination, business consulting, and logistics management, Jeffrey brings a unique blend of expertise and experience to his role as founder of Wind River Weed & Popo Agie Pest.
Professional Journey
As an arborist, Jeffrey has honed his skills in tree diagnosis, tree health, and project development. He has served as a key figure in various capacities, including as an arborist and PHC Director for SavATree, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the corporate brand into the Salt Lake Metro Area. His responsibilities included maintaining municipal service contracts, meeting with private homeowners to discuss tree health and pruning services, and overseeing all PHC operations.
Jeffrey's commitment to environmental stewardship led him to contribute his expertise to wildland firefighting efforts as a Firefighter Type II and IC Trainee with Utah FFSL & WY BIA. In this role, he made critical decisions, followed instructions, and maintained situational awareness in challenging fire environments.
As a Business Manager for Low Stump Tree Service, Jeffrey was instrumental in managing all aspects of the company's operations. He demonstrated exceptional leadership in scheduling and bidding work, developing relationships with contractors and city officials, and overseeing the business's overall growth and development.
In his role as Event Coordinator at Hearth & Hill, Jeffrey showcased his talent for coordinating high-level corporate and community events. He collaborated closely with chefs and owners to execute successful events, developed banquet staff SOPs, and ensured seamless event logistics.
Additionally, Jeffrey has contributed his expertise to various ventures, including serving as a Business Consultant for Peace For Pets, where he developed SOPs for staff and operations, negotiated contracts, and managed permits for site development.
Education and Professional Development
Jeffrey holds an FAA Certified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) certification from Spartan College of Aeronautics, where he graduated with honors. He is also an ISA Certified Arborist and has pursued professional development in Google Business & Cloud certifications, Facebook marketing certifications, and various web building platforms.
